During Q4 2024, the maps and navigation category on Android in Colombia saw significant activity among the top apps. Here’s a closer look at the performance trends for the leading applications based on data from Sensor Tower.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides managed by DiDi Global from China, showcased a fluctuating download trend. Starting the quarter with downloads around 120K, the numbers declined gradually, ending at approximately 54K by late December. Despite no revenue, weekly active users were robust, peaking at over 5M in early October before declining to about 3.9M by the end of the year.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares from ® SUOL INNOVATIONS LTD, experienced a stable download trend with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching nearly 77K. Active users remained relatively steady, with numbers around 3.9M early in the quarter, slightly decreasing to 3.6M by the end.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery showed a consistent download pattern, with a notable increase in early December to about 70K downloads. Active users fluctuated, peaking at approximately 959K in mid-December before dropping to 724K by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a steady download rate, ending the quarter with downloads slightly above 54K. Active user numbers were strong, growing from 3.6M at the start of the quarter to over 4M in mid-December, before slightly declining.

Phone Tracker and GPS Location saw an initial increase in downloads, peaking at 41K in late October. Active users showed growth, reaching over 656K towards the end of December.
